How to Become a Successful Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to make money with internet marketing.

  • There’s a ready made supply of products
  • Other people have written the sales page
  • You can get started almost immediately

Of course, like everything else in internet marketing, there are a few things you need to do in order to stand the highest chance of success.

Which is where this product comes in.

It’s a series of 7 short videos (under 10 minutes each) that takes you by the hand and shows you what you need to do to become a successful affiliate marketer.

Video 1 is an overview of the process – it’s the video at the top of this page and you can watch it to get a flavour of my style and what’s in the other videos.

Video 2 covers how to find a profitable niche.

That’s probably the biggest secret in affiliate marketing because if you choose a profitable niche you’ve got a head and shoulders start above a lot of your competition.

I’ll show you how I use Amazon to find possible niches and to find ideas for content (which will come in handy once you’ve got started).

You probably won’t be using Amazon’s affiliate program but this method doesn’t rely on that (partly because they’re quite fickle about which State you live in and a few other oddities).

Video 3 shows you how to research potential affiliate products to promote.

I turned up a high commission affiliate program while I was researching this video and you’ll see it on screen – it’s in an area where Amazon suggests there’s plenty of demand yet common marketplaces like Clickbank don’t have anything to offer. Which is probably a good sign as the program I found pays out way more than a typical Clickbank product.

You can do the same when you’re checking for affiliate products – that way you won’t be competing with all the lazy affiliates who sit there, scratching their heads, wondering why they’re not earning any money.

Video 4 is a quick overview of the main expense you’re going to have: your own website.

It’s not in depth (there are plenty of videos all over the web on setting up WordPress) but it does explain why you need your own domain, where I suggest you buy your domains from (Namecheap) even though the base price is slightly higher than elsewhere. But that’s more than compensated for by things like free privacy for the first year (and a low price thereafter) and the fact that you don’t face what seems like a perpetual flood of offers before you can finally make your purchase.

I also cover hosting – why you shouldn’t use your domain registrar, why you shouldn’t trust all those comparison sites and who I think are a decent, honest, company to use.

Video 5 gets down to the nitty gritty of affiliate marketing: creating content.

If you can type or speak, you can create content.

It doesn’t have to be super-professional. In fact, it’s often better if it’s not.

I’ll show you how to get ideas for content in a few seconds flat and how to create the content from those ideas.

You won’t be forever staring at a blank screen, watching the cursor blink.

Instead you’ll be creating content quickly and easily and starting to get traffic to your site which, in turn, will start to earn you affiliate commissions.

Video 6 covers one of those things that most sales letters gloss over:

Perseverance.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and nor will your internet empire be.

It takes time.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

But if you want push button success then go play the slots in Las Vegas – you’ve got a better chance of winning there than you have of earning your money back (let alone a profit) from most of the here-today-gone-tomorrow “instant” success products.

Video 7 covers another thing that most sales letters ignore completely.

Getting help when you need it rather than stalling and writing off your investment and time as yet another thing that didn’t work as promised.

It’s not a sales pitch.

It’s just a gentle reminder that you’re not alone and help is readily available and that there’s no downside to asking for help.

Successful Affiliate Marketing is on a dime sale.

That means the price goes up with each sale until it hits the top price I’ve set.

Which, in turn, means that the price here is the lowest that you’ll ever see:

There is an upsell after you buy – it’s for my affiliate marketing mastermind where you’ll get help and support to get you to a profitable place with your affiliate marketing.

No pressure to buy that but I think it fits well and if you’re serious about making money from your affiliate marketing then it’s worth reading the sales page and making your mind up.

All the best,

Trevor
