Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways of making money on the internet.
It’s lumpier than putting up adverts because you usually only get paid when you make a sale rather than every time an advert is clicked on. But it’s often higher income as the amount paid in commission per sale can range from a few cents right the way up to hundreds of dollars.
Start by choosing your niche
As always happens with a new project in internet marketing, there are lots of questions along the lines of “what should I do about XYZ” and people stall, deer in headlights mode, until they’re answered.
I’m often guilty as charged on that one as well.
But you need to get over it!

What are the perks of becoming an affiliate marketer?
Aoart from the obvious “perk” of getting commission on sales, are there any other perks that you can look forward to once you’ve begun to establish yourself?
We all have what if questions running through our minds.
And far too often we let those questions stop us from doing stuff. Often stuff that we want to do but are also looking for an excuse in case it doesn’t work out.
That happens a lot with internet marketing because there are so many unknowns…
It’s easy to be misunderstood online. You need to choose your words carefully as apart bolding, italicising or maybe a smiley there’s no real intonation.
It’s bad enough in real life if someone has a deadpan sense of humour. You often can’t tell whether or not they mean what they’re saying.
Or if they smile whilst they’re telling you something that would otherwise be unpleasant.
But online there’s none of that luxury.
How long should your web pages be?
Is 200 words enough?
Maybe 500 words?
Or a thousand words upwards plus maybe a video or two?
At first glance, outsourcing articles seems an attractive idea:
But is that something you should do?
There’s an excellent chance that being a perfectionist is holding you back in internet marketing and probably other areas of your life.
Maybe no-one else has had the courage to say this to your face but I’ve got news for you: whatever it is your doing will never be perfect.
Get over it and stop letting your perfectionism hold you back!
Even if something seems perfect now, in a few years time you’ll look at it and wonder why on earth you ever thought it was superb.
That’s the nature of progress and change.

Shops, market traders, etc all set out their stall to sell things.Whether that’s a simple table at a craft fair, a pop up shop or something more substantial.
We need to do the same on the web, albeit using computers to help us.
That applies whether you’re selling your own product or other people’s products or a mix.
I’m going to assume that you’ve already chosen a niche, otherwise setting up a website is jumping the gun.
