Are You Expert Enough at Your Internet Marketing?

Share

It takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at anything. That’s over a year non-stop. Allowing time for sleep and other activities it’s still over 3 years of 8 hour days, 7 days a week.

That magic figure is to become a leading expert in the world.

But a lot of us seem to use it as an excuse not to do stuff – because we tell ourselves we don’t know enough about the subject.

Which is rubbish!

It’s merely an excuse.

Sit back for a minute and take stock of what you do know about internet marketing and your chosen niche within that – which could easily be using internet marketing as a tool to promote something online.

Chances are that you know enough to get started.

And probably quite a bit more than that.

If your reaction when you buy a new product is that you already know most if not all of what it’s teaching, you’re enough of an expert to do it.

Stop buying any more products teaching you that (or maybe buy a new one every few months just to keep fresh and up to date).

Instead, put your knowledge into practice.

Because that’s the difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it.

Putting your knowledge into practice will do several things:

  • It will reinforce the fact that you are enough of an expert to be able to do this
  • It will quickly show up the gaps in your knowledge – probably only to you because the people you’ll be using your expertise on don’t know as much as you
  • It will speed up your learning because teaching a subject almost always forces you to go back to the roots
  • It will probably remind you of things that worked but you’ve stopped doing. I’ve lost count of the number of times that’s happened to me as I’m explaining things to people. No real reason I stopped, I just “did”.
  • There’s a good chance you’ll make some money back on what you’re doing. I find that always spurs me on to do more!

Often the only difference between people who succeed and people who don’t succeed in an area is the fact that they put their knowledge – even if it was incomplete when they started – into practice.

Sometimes it’s also ignorance of what they don’t know 🙂

But you need to start.

And you need to keep at it once you’ve started.

If there are any gaps in your knowledge, you’ll soon find them out and there’ll be a product you can buy or a skill you can buy in to bridge the gap.

Try it.

Start whatever it is you’ve been putting off in your internet marketing, whether or not you consider yourself to be a beginner or an expert or anywhere in between.

And then keep at it – because that’s the other difference.

By definition, an expert kept at it. Otherwise they wouldn’t have hit the 10,000 hour magic number.

But it didn’t happen overnight.

And it probably won’t with you either.

The difference is they kept at it.

Resolve to do the same in your internet marketing business and you’ll be surprised how fast you can be ahead of most of your competition (because they’re not experts either!)

Trevor I really want to Thank You. Because I have decided that finally. I am going to TAKE MASSIVE ACTION. See I am one of those perfectionist who study till the late hours of the night or morning. And I should say anyways I have Invested probably over 10,000 hours studying, Internet Marketing. I know I still keep studying incredible ( and will try to purchase one or two products only a month).

But not taking any action or very little action. And I am one of those people who Marketers probably look for, because I have bought so many products my computers are maxed out basically there is no space on the desktop yes that amounts to purchasing hundreds of programs. (Studying for over 5 1/2 Years every day and night. S.E.O, Affiliate marketing, website design, mostly word press and a warrior forum enthusiasts. ) And going to school for over two years. For I go for free to a continuing education over 100 computer classes. The Campus On Aero Drive. sdce.edu

I would say to anyone who is a newbie or knowledgeable in marketing, YOU WILL NEVER HAVE EVERYTHING PERFECT JUST START TAKING ACTION. Like they say “”JUST DO IT!”” got to go to school. BYE.
    PRACTICE PEACE, PRACTICE LOVE.
THANX ONCE AGAIN TREVOR GOD Bless.
