How to Get Blog Content Ideas for Your Website

Share

Writer’s block hits all of us every now and then.

It seems to be part of human nature.

Here are some ways that you can get lots more blog content ideas easily:

1. Google Alerts

You can set up email alerts so that whenever Google finds new content about the keywords you’re interested in they’ll let you know.

You can set up several alerts – just remember to confirm each one as you set it up – and you can control how often you get notified. You can set these depending on your personality and time constraints – I tend to set them at weekly as I pay more attention to them than ones that arrive more often.

2. Forums

Forums exist for almost every topic.

If you regularly check forums then you’ll know what gets asked most often – use the ways these are worded to re-phrase and re-examine topics you’ve visited before.

Also keep an eye out for new questions as these often have very little in the way of search results.

3. Revisit old posts

Once you’ve got more than a handful of pages on your site, you’ve got plenty of ideas in it.

Go back through your older posts and mine them for ideas. Either a (new) rewrite or an expansion on the points you covered before.
